How it works
Set a cap. Issue keys. Connect your tools.
Line Three accepts the OpenAI chat completions format, so a tool that lets you set a custom base URL should need only that and a key.
Three steps, then nothing kept.
-
01 · Encrypted (TLS)
Your request leaves encrypted.
It travels over TLS 1.2 or later (standard web encryption) to Line Three, which checks your key, its remaining cap and its rate limit.
-
02 · Answered
A model answers, and streams it back.
The request goes to the model you chose (gpt-oss-120b, NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super 120B, NVIDIA Nemotron Nano 3 30B), run by the model provider, Amazon Bedrock, in the AWS US West (Oregon) Region (us-west-2), using in-region inference. The answer comes back as it is written, or all at once if you prefer.

03 · Discarded
Line Three keeps no content.
Once the answer is delivered, Line Three keeps neither the prompt nor the answer, only a usage record: the time, the key, the model, tokens in and out, and the status. It is kept 13 months, or 90 days if your administrator chooses. Everything Line Three keeps.
The bill can’t outrun the budget.
Each request counts toward the month, or against your prepaid balance. When the month’s usage reaches the cap, requests stop. A request that starts while the month’s cap has room is allowed to finish, even if it goes over the cap. The next request is refused until the next month, or until you raise the cap.
- Prepaid credit
- Prepaid credit: any amount you choose, from $100, in whole dollars. Prepaid credit is for anyone paying by card: a government purchase card, a company card or a practice card.
- Prepaid balance
- The balance is held in dollars, not tokens. Usage draws it down at the published rates in effect when the usage happens, and requests stop when it reaches zero. The balance never expires and never renews automatically. You can top up at any time.
- Unused balance
- Any unused balance is refunded on request at any time, and when you close your account: to the original card where the card network allows, otherwise by EFT, as your agency or company directs.
- Monthly billing
- You set a monthly spending cap. Line Three bills monthly, in arrears (after use), for the previous month’s usage, and never above your cap.
- Monthly cap
- The lowest monthly cap is $50. Change it at any time. If you lower the cap below this month’s usage so far, new requests stop at once.
- Card
- By card: charged each month for the previous month’s usage, never above your cap.
- Purchase order
- By purchase order: invoiced monthly, in arrears, through Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) in PIEE, against the order’s not-to-exceed ceiling. A purchase order’s not-to-exceed ceiling is the total for its period of performance; your monthly cap sits inside it.
- Renewal
- A card billing authorization lasts 12 months, then stops unless the cardholder confirms renewal. Nothing renews automatically, by card or on a purchase order.
- Rates
- Every customer pays the same published rates, with 60 days’ notice of any change. On monthly billing, your rates are locked for 12 months from sign-up; after that, the published rates apply. If a model is retired, we give 60 days’ notice and move you to a replacement at the same or a lower price.
- Overage
- If a request is still running when the cap is reached or a prepaid balance reaches zero, Line Three absorbs that overrun and never bills it.
- Taxes
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes. If your organization is tax-exempt, give your exemption at checkout or on the order.
Keys, each with its own limit.
- Who gets one
- Every person or tool that calls Line Three. As many keys as you need, with no per-seat price.
- Cap
- Per-key caps are optional limits inside the account’s cap. The $50 minimum is per account, not per key.
- Rate limit
- Rate limits follow the cap, for card and purchase-order accounts alike: 60 requests a minute per key below a $1,000 monthly cap, and 600 a minute per key at $1,000 or more.
- Revoke
- Keys belong to your organization’s account, not to a person. An administrator can turn a key off at any time, if it leaks or when someone leaves, and it stops working at once.

Opening to early-access teams first.
Getting started takes a prepayment or a monthly cap, and one key.
